Vehicle Description
This 1980 Chevrolet C10 Silverado is for those of us who love a
real classic pickup. It spent over 40 years under long-term care of
its first owner, and it has a ton of vintage charm, right down to
the CB radio. And even if you don't love the history, the combo of
V8 power and an A/C interior is irresistible.
We always love it when a pickup has been cared for correctly by one
person for decades. It gets even better when that truck also loves
to tell that story with its first impression. After all, this one
looks quite stock. It's wearing its factory-correct Nordic Blue and
Frost White, and this two-tone has the right mix of restoration and
maintenance to still be impressive today. There are also some
premium details, like the hood ornament, wheel covers, and
tri-color stripe that was used on the ZY5 package. And Chevy fans
know the '81 Silverado had a unique front end. It was upgraded to
square headlights without altering the grille too much, and that
style would change in 1982. Another detail we love is the dealer
tag that's still under the Silverado fender badging on the driver's
side. You know It's absolutely the original dealer, because the
same info is etched into the rear bumper. And that's just the kind
of classic charm that often gets lost on modified pickups.
The interior keeps the authentic style going, right down to the
button-top presentation of the bench seat. The whole interior has a
clean and well-respected look that's also absolutely vintage.
Because this is a premium pickup, you have great features like
cold-blowing factory air conditioning, sliding rear glass, and
cruise control. You'll even notice that the AM/FM radio is the
optional unit that has the CB radio controls incorporated (really,
how cool is that???) And your steering wheel is on a tilt column so
that you can get a clear view of the wraparound gauge panel.
This was optioned with a 350-cubic-inch V8 and four-barrel
carburetor. So it's great to see the correct setup still under the
hood today. In fact, this year-correct block is even believed to be
original to the truck. While we do not know if the odometer
reflects the truck's actual mileage, it does have a very clean
setup that shows it was cared for correctly. And the way this one
fires up and runs really reaffirms the well-respected feeling you
get for this whole pickup. Plus, with power steering, power brakes
w/front discs, and a three-speed automatic transmission, this
classic is easy to enjoy in modern times.
Since history is part of this truck's charm, it also comes with
great paperwork like the original dealer invoice, warranty card,
and the owner's manual. If you want a true classic that has a story
to tell, you know you can't miss this deal. Call today!!!
