Vehicle Description
That big hood scoop is absolutely out to devour everything. That's
because this 1964 Ford Ranchero pickup has the nitrous-infused
muscle to consume just about every other vehicle out there. It's a
full custom treatment that takes this blue-collar pickup and gives
it a full race-ready package for the street or strip.
The huge air grabber in the hood draws serious attention to make
sure no one mistakes this for a working pickup or even a nice-guy
classic. It's a pure intimidation machine. Racing stripes on the
hood, tubbed rear wheels, wide side exhaust tips, and a large
custom spoiler are all part of that serious attitude. This one
doesn't try to hide its nature or make any apologies for being the
instigator, but there is more to the full package. It has a
thoughtful sense of style with the well-done maroon paint, golden
pinstriping, full bed cover, and bright chrome bumpers.
The interior continues the professional-grade style. That means two
high-back race seats with full G-Force harnesses. The full custom
roll cage is a 10-point design that even extends thorough the rear
window (the rear glass has been replaced with plastic for lighter
weight and flexibility.) You've got a terrific driver's dash with
toggle switches, full autometer Pro-Comp readouts, and a large Moon
tach front-and-center on top. The center of the interior is
dominated by the B&M floor shifter and a big nitrous
bottle.
At the heart of this beastly setup is a fortified 302 cubic-inch
V8. It includes a forged crank, roller cam, aluminum heads,
Edelbrock intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor.
It's supported by all the right pieces, including an MSD ignition,
Ford Racing plug wires, steel braided lines with AN fittings, and
an aluminum radiator. You'll even spot that the battery and fuel
cell are mounted in the rear of the bed for better traction. And a
powerful setup like this only gets better when you can deliver a
shot of nitrous to the V8 to make sure you leave them all behind.
This is a big power machine, and so you have a built-up three-speed
automatic transmission with 4000 stall and a Gear Vendor over/under
drive system. This feeds a fortified Billet Performance 9-inch rear
with 35 spline axles. And the line lock, trans brake, and 4.11
gears mean accurate and powerful take-offs. Keeping those massive
drag tires planted to the ground is a ladder bar rear with
stabilizer link and adjustable coilovers. Plus, stopping is well
in-hand with Aerospace Components four-wheel disc brakes.
The sale comes complete with build receipts. Be the envy of every
muscle car out there with this stout pro street truck. Call
