Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute Restomod is stunning in
every way. That means the color combo, feature-filled interior A/C,
and even the fresh look of the undercarriage. But what will really
make you fall in instantly love/lust is the fuel-injected big block
V8 and the control of a five-speed. Best of all, there's less than
600 miles on the whole build!
This is a bold coupe, and so the first thing they did was make sure
to upgrade it to a bold red. The respray happened in 2013, but the
real story here is the level of quality in the car's full frame-off
restoration. It's why the finish still looks basically brand new
today. And the combination of painted white racing stripes and
white vinyl roof give you a well-coordinated look that drives home
the ideas of both premium and performance. That's an overall theme
you'll see the deeper you dig into this Chevelle. It feels like
they spared no expense on this one as you look at the details, like
the clear/bright headlights, straight body panels, pliable
weather-stripping, and mirror-like chrome bumpers. Of course, it
also has the underlying intimidation factor of the Super Sport
pieces, like the hood pins, large exhaust tips, SS badging, and
functioning cowl hood. And those Billet Specialties wheels with a
18/20 inch front/rear stagger set the tone right for polished,
powerful, and upgraded.
If you like all the white accents of the exterior, then you're also
going to love the restored interior. It has that pristine look of
quality, and there's an added radiance that lives up to the Pearl
White name. It has the classic features you love with a vintage
appearance on the seats, door panels, and center console. But the
more you peek around, the more you'll spot well-integrated
upgrades. For example, when was the last time you found a muscle
car with shoulder belts for the rear seat passengers? And in fact,
this is great for everyone thanks to cold-blowing air conditioning,
a RetroSound AM/FM Bluetooth radio, and a full upgraded speaker
system with JL Audio subwoofer. Of course the best treats are only
for you. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is on a tilt column so that
you get a clear view to the full upgraded Dakota Digital HDX
gauges. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter
yet?
The engine bay has a terrific muscle car appearance. Fresh
components, bright valve covers, and a gasket around the air
grabber to seal it to the cowl induction hood - this one looks
clean and mean. And at the heart is a 427 cubic-inch V8 built with
an upgraded cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads, and an
Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake. Plus, this is topped with a Holley
Sniper electronic fuel injection system for added power and
consistency. The dual exhaust is that ideal balance of big block
prowess, but it's far from anything too loud to get you kicked out
of the neighborhood. And you're really going to want to be driving
this one everywhere because the upgrade to a Tremec five-speed
manual transmission means you have the ideal control over all this
big block muscle. The power is sent to a 12-bolt Positraction rear,
and you can see this also has the reinforced trailing arms and rear
sway bar. In fact, as you look at the clean undercarriage photos,
you see fresher components that give you added confidence on the
road. Combine that with power steering, power brakes front discs,
and modern ZR-rated tires, and you have an all-around sharp
driver.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and service manuals.
