We are excited to be able to offer this 1953 Jaguar XK120 Drophead Coupe finished in Black over Red Connolly hides with a black Haartz cloth top, and most probably one of the finest examples available on the market. It is an American delivered LHD motorcar of which only 1,471 were produced during the model run from 1948-1954. After many years of ownership it was shipped back to England by a highly demanding owner who had commissioned a marque expert to orchestrate a complete frame off body, nut and bolt restoration with an open check...where no expenses were spared to bring it to better than the factory standards of its original year of production...all the while keeping it to original specs, except for one welcomed upgrade and that being an electronic ignition. Turn the key, push the start button and it immediately starts and runs like new. No messing with a manual choke, and no stalling...so you can actually drive and enjoy this masterpiece. The color combination is gorgeous, timeless...and accentuates the beautiful lines of this XK120 which are most desired compared to the XK140 and XK150 as this model is less bulky and sleeker in its design execution. Tools, jack and spare tire are all in their place.
