Seven Hills Motorcars is tremendously proud to offer this
absolutely stunning low mileage and original numbers matching 1972
Chevrolet Monte Carlo in spectacular condition. This Monte Carlo is
in amazing shape with only 59,860 original miles. The car looks
beautiful with stunning paint, it runs great, drives awesome, and
everything on the car works properly. This survivor Monte Carlo is
a time capsule and an investment grade classic. The car has great
lines and is totally solid; one can even see how clean the car is
underneath in the many photos of the car on a lift. This is an
excellent opportunity to own an exceptional Monte Carlo that is
ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value.
I have personally driven this car about 50 miles in the past month.
During that time that car was totally reliable, has absolutely no
issues, and was a true pleasure to drive.
This Monte Carlo is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable
color combinations of Placer Gold (53) over Saddle Vinyl (735) with
bucket seats and a Light Covert (T) vinyl roof. This is the factory
original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag
pictured in this ad as well as a copy of the factory build sheet,
which is also still with the car and pictured. The original owners
manual, emission control systems booklet, and wheel trim ring
instruction sheet are still with the car. The very low original
mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also
the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, that states the mileage
as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, numbers, video, and
information below to get a true sense of clean, nice, and original
this Chevrolet Monte Carlo really is.
Besides the correct trim codes this Monte Carlo is "Numbers
Matching," meaning the engine in the car is correct original unit
that was installed new at the factory. Virtually every part we
checked on the car is correct with the proper part numbers and
appropriate date codes. We have run the numbers on literally
hundreds of Chevrolets over the years and there are very few that
are so correct and original. Even very detailed parts like the
carburetor, exhaust manifolds, and even all the window glass are
all correct and original. The last six digits of the VIN are
stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured in this ad, and the
engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original
with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and
pictured.
Throughout the entire A-Body market right now, this is one of the
nicest and most original Monte Carlos available. There is no way
this car could be duplicated or restored with this level of quality
for anything near our asking price. This Monte Carlo looks great,
runs awesome, and is particularly fun to drive. This is an
excellent opportunity to own a classic Chevy that is ready to be
used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this
car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to
come as these A-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them
is very hot right now, especially for such an original example like
this car.
As a side note, this Monte Carlo is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come
from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give
the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Chevrolet, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Placer Gold (53) exterior is in spectacular condition. As one
can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep
shine, and smooth glass-like finish. Both doors open and shut well
and feel great when you close them. The chrome and other
bright-work on the car looks fantastic with a bright finish and no
pitting. The rally wheels are in excellent condition with a
brilliant finish and no curb rash on the beauty rings. The BF
Goodrich Radial TA white letter tires have about 95% tread left. As
one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car it is
exceptionally clean underneath. The car looks almost as good on the
bottom as it does on top. We have included specific photos of the
lower quarters, rockers, spring perches, and other areas most prone
to rust to show how clean this car is.
The Monte Carlo looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Window Date Codes
Please note that ALL of the glass on this Monte Carlo is date coded
and original as each piece predates the car's body build date of
the third week of January 1972 (01C). Original glass is a good
indication that this car has had no major accident history and
never sustained significant damage.
Interior
The Saddle Vinyl (735) interior of the Monte Carlo is in utterly
splendid condition. The front bucket seats and rear bench seat look
just in person as they do in the photos with no split seams, tears,
or excessive wear. The seat is not worn in the typical area on the
bolster where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are clean
and crisp and the gauge lenses are crystal clear. The carpet is
also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This
includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The door panels
are in great condition with no cracks or splits and the door pulls
are solid and in tact. This car features a modern radio that was
made specifically for a 1972 Monte Carlo with a vintage look. Most
importantly, the dash has never been cut of modified for the
installation. The original radio is also still with the car and
included in the sale. The dash looks great with no splits, sun
fading, or cracks. The original package tray looks great with no
warping, fading, or sun damage. This is one of the best interiors
we have ever seen in person in a Monte Carlo and is a true study of
how these cars looked from the factory.
The trunk is very clean, nicely detailed, and looks like it just
come off the assembly line with the spare tire and rim, jack, jack
handle, and jack cover. The original decal with the wheel changing
instructions is still on the inside of the trunk lid.
Chevrolet interiors from this era are not known to wear well over
the years and the spectacular condition of this interior is a huge
testament to the meticulous care this car has received throughout
its life and another great verification of the very low original
mileage.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Mechanical
This Monte Carlo is in excellent mechanical condition and it is
ready to be enjoyed. As stated above, I have put about 50 miles on
this car recently with absolutely no problems and it performed
great. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles
smooth. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great
on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can
observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph,
shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going
through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises
or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes
are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The
transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car
runs ...for more information please contact the seller.
