Vehicle Description
You instantly notice a car like this 1937 Ford Slantback. It has a
timeless style mixed with an attractive street rod flair. And with
the upgraded V8 power, upgraded suspension, and upgraded interior,
you start to see how this is an all-around awesome build.
This is an all-steel body car that is said to have spent years and
storage, and it was just waiting for the right custom treatment. So
they did it right by upgraded pieces like the louvered hood, bright
dual exhaust tips, and a set of 15-inch wheels with extra meaty
tires in the rear to give this a nice stance. But the upgrading
didn't take away from the overall classic style. You really see it
in the details, like the two-piece windshield, and it's even said
that the trim is original. Overall, we can understand why this car
was built with an eye for respect. The '37 Ford is already an
enduring icon being the debut of the teardrop headlights mounted in
the front fenders. In fact, this front end is especially noticeable
with the iconic grille finished in black. The rest of the car has a
bright white look that really gives it a lasting distinction.
The white interior is complete and inviting. While this is an older
build, the higher traffic spots like the carpeting and steering
wheel are done in black. So the areas that attract the most dirt
are also the ones who show it the least. Sedans like this were
always comfortable. That means there's adult-size legroom in the
back, and the front has now even been upgraded to individual bucket
seats. There are nice added features for everyone, like the
AM/FM/cassette stereo and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it
will need servicing to blow cold again.) And this is a true
driver's machine with a Lecarra sports steering wheel on a tilt
column, Lokar floor shifter, and a dash dominated by classic-style
VDO gauges.
Under the hood is well-built small block power. This is a 350
cubic-inch V8 is upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor
and Edelbrock intake. The motor fires up easily, idles well, and
makes a dignified V8 tune out of the dual exhaust. It's the kind of
powerhouse that will get you thinking about cruising all weekend.
That's why it also comes with great driving features, like the
Mustang II independent front suspension, a three speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and front discs brakes.
The Slantback Fords have a sleekness that we all love. And this one
knows how to deliver that ideal mix of classic style and modern
driving flair. So it makes for a terrific all-steel street machine.
