This is a one owner automobile....The 73 Olds Delta 88 was built on
a B-Body GM platform and at this time was in its 7th generation or
major restyle since its inception just post WWII in 1949. The 88
would continue through 1999 and for a while was Oldsmobiles most
popular and profitable cars. This particular car was purchased
brand new in 1973 by the late husband of our consignor. Also, the
same consignor who is selling her 1973 Delta 88 red convertible
with us that was purchased in 1976. This car has sat for several
years so it should be gone through before a large road trip but we
put a battery in it and checked fluids and it started right up and
went down the road surprisingly smooth with nice power. The
windshield wipers are coming on and off intermittently but other
than that would make someone a great entry level collector car. The
car has a cool 70's hot rod look and has gotten a ton of looks. The
car was re-painted at some point in its life and most of the wiring
you are seeing could be removed as there were aftermarket horns,
radio equipment security alarms etc. The tires and brakes seem good
and this 88 is free of rust, rot and bondo. The door gaps are good
and everything is there.
