Motorcar Studio is please to offer this 1951 Dodge B-Series Pickup
Truck. This has been part of our personal collection for the last
year and we love it, but with three other pickup trucks in the
fleet we're trying to thin the herd / balance our stock. Restored
to a nice driver standard some years prior to our ownership - steel
cab and bed components are excellent with the only rust to note
located on the non-structural battery box. We painstakingly re-laid
the bed with correct white oak boards (finished with water and
UV-resistant spar polyurethane). From the hubcaps to the
often-missing "Job Rated" grille insert, this '51 Dodge is
remarkably intact and unmolested (and it always draws admiring
glances and comments).
The raised "pilot house" cab design provided better visibility and
more room than Ford or Chevrolet pickups from the same era.
Original gauges are working, as is the horn - wipers have been
converted to 12v electric. Turn signals have been added but
instrumentation and switchgear are otherwise original.
Under the hood is a flathead six cylinder mated to a three-speed
column-shift manual transmission. Electrical system has been
upgraded from 6 volt to 12 volt with alternator. Recent water pump
and aluminum radiator (original radiator included). New tires. This
truck starts easily and runs and drives well, and all service is up
to date.
