HIGHLIGHTS: Super nice pro-street style 1971 Plymouth Duster!
440V8, Chrysler 727 automatic transmission! Rack & pinion, coilover
shocks, super nice build!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, quite the feat for
an early '70s Mopar! The body lines are nice and crisp, and the
exterior panels are nice and straight. The underside does have some
patches in place and leaves a little to be desired in comparison to
the exterior, but this is a car that was built to turn heads AND to
be driven.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Recently painted in the modern classic
2011 Dodge "Green with Envy" color, this Duster calls up memories
of the 1970s Mopar "High Impact" color choices while standing out
in a crowd thanks to a more modern metallic paint color. The paint
appears to be a high-quality job, with very few imperfections
showing and it shows fantastically. Deep gloss, bright shine, and
sure to turn heads from a mile away! There are few cars that look
great in green, but this Duster is certainly one of them.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior of this Duster is a
unique custom job that really accents the exterior green, and
serves as a reminder that this beautiful Mopar is far from stock.
Custom black and green vinyl seats are rivaled only by the custom
green door panels! To top it off, aftermarket black and green
gauges were added including a tachometer and a digital
odometer.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Like many custom cars, under the hood is where
the real excitement begins! When this car was built, the owner was
looking to go for a loud, in-your-face pro-street style. That has
certainly been achieved! Powered by a rowdy Chrysler 440V8 hooked
up to a 727 transmission with a SideWinder shifter and a reverse
valve body, this Duster is a blast! Couple that with a line lock
and 4,000RPM stall converter, this car can be surprisingly
manageable. That being said, it doesn't like going slow! Underneath
the car you'll find rack & pinion steering, coilover shocks,
4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, and long tube headers hooked up to a
NASCAR-inspired side exit dual exhaust system. This Duster sounds
great, runs great, and smells great-don't go putting pump gas in
it!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: Between the mechanical upgrades
and the cosmetic customizations, it's hard to choose!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If green isn't your color, we
would advise continuing to look.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The only items that are not operational are
the heater and the reverse lights.
