Vehicle Description
This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Victoria has a big 390 V8,
four-on-the-floor, and an awesome stance with the meaty rear tires.
It just seems right, because if you're going to have a full package
of bold custom flames, you better have the street-eating
performance to back it up, right?
This hardtop instantly stands out because of its custom paintwork.
The flames start out almost white-hot as they consume the front
end. Then it blazes down the body into a custom multi-color style.
You can see it all so well because it's outlined with a full custom
purple pinstriping (there's even custom pinstriping on the trunk,
too.) It's all set against the kind of blue that makes these flames
look like they're kissing the sky. The full paint package is about
a decade old, and so it's in the era of modern clearcoats. That
means it is sealed in far better than others to still deliver an
impressive shine. And speaking of modern, they also color-matched
the bumpers and deleted badge to gives this a bit of sleeker style.
It also helps the Victoria show off the remaining brightwork like
the full length side trim, grille, rocker trim, and rear with
jet-inspired tail lights. There's even a good polish on the
upgrades like the large dual exhaust tips and 15-inch American
Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
The two-tone gray cloth interior has a tasteful and inviting look,
which makes it easy to share this full-size hardtop with family and
friends. It even has nice passenger features like seatbelts and an
AM/FM/CD with USB and Bluetooth. Of course, the full pinstriping
package on the dash is there to remind you that this spacious coupe
is also a speed machine. But you really didn't need that reminder
once you slip behind the wood-rimmed steering wheel. This has been
upgraded with a large AutoMeter tach mounted front-and-center on
the steering column. Plus, there's also an upgraded speedometer,
auxiliary gauge trio, and a Hurst floor shifter.
There's a mighty V8 waiting for you under the hood. This 390
cubic-inch V8 is built right with a full Edelbrock suite that
includes an AVS four-barrel carburetor, a mid-rise intake, and
finned valve covers. It's also supported by the right pieces, like
an MSD ignition, newer distributor, upgraded belt system, and a
large aluminum radiator w/electric fan. And there's a wicked set of
headers that add extra power while also exhaling with authority
from the dual exhaust. The four-speed manual transmission gives you
full control of the powerful motor and its rumbling soundtrack.
Plus, power steering, power brakes w/newer booster, and front discs
are all part of a solid driving package.
Complete with build receipts and maintenance records, you're
looking at a full-size classic that has the power to earn its full
flame appearance. That's an unbeatable package at this price, so
