We are pleased to present this 1940 LaSalle Special Convertible
Coupe. In the four months of production, March -
June 1940, only 425 were built. As of 1996 only 23 had been found
and documented. Later attempts to get an accurate count of the
remaining examples have proven difficult as only 3 of the owners
from the mid 90's still have their vehicles. This particular
vehicle was restored and color changed from the original Long Key
Green to Blue with matching two tone interior. The original engine
and transmission operate as they should as can be verified by the
fact that in 2007 this car completed the "American Great Race" from
Concord NC to Anaheim CA. An Eight-day race covering almost 2,500
Miles! Mechanically and physically it has been kept in great shape
since. The paint is in very good condition with a few minor flaws
due to being driven. The same holds true for the interior. The
white convertible top with a glass rear window is also in good
shape. All the gauges work with exception of the odometer and
speedometer that were disconnected for the race and never
reconnected but were working at the time. We can arrange shipping
anywhere. For more information please call 912-235-2347 or email
