Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's Blazer was introduced
in 1969 to compete with the Ford Bronco and IH Scout in the
burgeoning SUV market. By its second year the Blazer had surpassed
its rivals in sales, thanks in part to the fact that the Blazer was
built on a shortened truck chassis which increased interior volume
while lowering costs. This also allowed GM to offer amenities such
as air conditioning and automatic transmissions in a segment that
had not previously emphasized comfort. This beautiful and loaded
Midnight Black (86L)1979 K5 Blazer perfectly illustrated this trend
toward more luxurious SUV's. Beneath the hood is the numbers
matching (C9Z172998) 400 ci V8, the largest engine that GM offered
in the Blazer. Additional features and options include power
steering, power front disc brakes, power windows (ZQ2), power door
locks (ZQ2), power tailgate window (A33), air conditioning (C60),
automatic transmission (MX1), Comfortilt steering column (N33),
cruise control (K30), Blue custom interior (25W), Black removable
hardtop (Z59), folding rear seat (AM7), chromed grille (V22),
tachometer (U16), transmission cooler (V02), oil cooler (KC4),
receiver hitch (VR4), H.D. trailer wiring (UY7), 3.73 Posi rear
axle (GT4, G80), Rally wheels (N67), and Cheyenne equipment (Z84).
The only visible alterations from stock are the newer stereo and a
full dual exhaust system without a catalytic converter. This is an
exceptional example that's loaded with factory options; it will not
last long. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service
dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and
financing options.
