For Sale: 1974 Chevrolet Laguna S3 in Lutz, Florida
This 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna S-3 coupe represented a
top-of-the-line coupe when new, and this meticulously restored
example upholds that feeling to the fullest. So you'll love
everything from the striking paint combo to the numbers-matching V8
power under the hood. Even the undercarriage looks brand new.
The Chevelle Laguna ushered in a whole new kind of style. The
headlights are deeply sculpted into the design for an elegant look
that also gives better definition to the line that starts in the
fenders and runs all the way through the doors. The front has a
sporty and almost seamless look as Chevrolet gave these a
dent-resistant urethane front end. The paint is a beautifully
finished Antique White, and the detailed burgundy lower section
that encircles this car really shows off what a premium Laguna S-3
was all about. And the burgundy vinyl roof has a taut feel and a
coordinating tone with the lower accenting. So it's a terrific way
to show off the now-iconic Colonnade roofline. The reason why this
car looks so impressive today is because you're looking at a labor
of love. The consignor spent years searching for the right car that
reminded him of the one he had in high school. When he found THE
ONE, he then spent nearly a decade of time, money, and labor in a
frame-off restoration. And with only about 600 miles of showing it
around town since completion, this remains a stunning coupe. In
fact, it's such a well-done representation of what a brand new
Laguna S-3 should look like that this actual car is the main image
when you look up the model on Wikipedia!
The red interior is a terrific harmonizing color with the exterior
accents, and it has been restored to a show-ready condition. In
fact, we know you'll love leaving the door open at every cruise-in
and cars & coffee just so that you can showcase the swivel bucket
seats that came on the best GM cars of the era. And while the
odometer is quite low since this finished its restoration, we know
you won't be able to resist adding some serious mileage. The
Chevelle Laguna's driver-oriented dash goes particularly nicely
with the premium bucket seat and center console combo. It's an easy
reach to the Delco AM/FM stereo and air conditioning now running
modern R134a (it will likely need a recharge to blow ideally cold.)
The NK4 sports steering wheel is on a tilt column to give you an
excellent view of the gauges. So it's a classic that still gives
you a great sports car feel.
More of the careful restoration is evident in the ultra-tidy engine
bay. At the center is the numbers-matching 400 cubic-inch V8. The
optional powerhouse was an ideal offering of the era that gave you
small block weight but with added displacement for an extra helping
of power and torque. The fresh undercarriage is the ideal mix where
it gives you confidence to drive this coupe and also put a mirror
under it when you park. The three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, power brakes, front discs, and sway bars front &
rear make this a great all-around cruiser.
The sale comes complete with restoration photos, build receipts,
owner's manual, and maintenance records. It all goes to prove that
price took a back seat to quality and accuracy in this restored
coupe. We all want something special, but there's only one amazing
Laguna S-3 up for grabs. Don't miss your chance, call today!
