Some say the 2nd generation is better than the 1st for reasons of
experience and ability to correct subpar issues. In the Automotive
world the changes and engineering that takes place throughout a
build is always impressive and as the best manufactures know, the
best survive. The 2nd generation Bronco with a much larger frame,
body and powertrain was a no brainer for Ford when they developed
this monster of the two-track.
We are very excited to bring this car to the retail world for just
the 2nd time in its life cycle. This 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT
has just come out of a long term ownership collection here in
Michigan and is just about perfect. The fit and finish all around
the outside is remarkable and once you climb up into this cab you
will fall in love with the blue tweed cloth interior and wood dash.
This is a true time capsule and anyone that drove or lusted over
these vehicles back in the day will automatically have an LSD
flashback. You just cannot reproduce this material and the
reproductions just don't have the same feel or look. This truck
starts up with ease and immediately you will get noticed in this
Bronco. It runs thru all gears with ease and is a joy to drive
around town or up to highway speeds.
This car is just about as original as you can get for the exception
of the 4in lift and the 35in tires. It has been stored properly and
recently received a new fuel pump, new avenger carb and radiator
fixed for some pin hole leaks.
Vehicle was sold new out of the Warren division in California where
it remained for the first two decades. It was then sold to a lady
in South Carolina and then into a private collection. The Deluxe
Marti Report states the following:
Removable fiberglass top
Deluxe TuTone paint
Delete carpets (added at some point)
Ammeter and oil pressure gauges
Skid plates
Immersion heater
California emissions
Reduced noise exhaust system
15in wheels with black sidewall tires
Air conditioner
AM/FM Stereo
Folding rear seat
Visibility group
Tinted glass
Center console
Security lock group
Increased capacity fuel tank
Heavy duty rear shocks
Quad front shocks
Ranger XLT package
