For Sale: 1954 Packard Patrician in Troy, Michigan
1954 Packard Patrician Touring Sedan- One of 2,760 built Modified
to Enjoy!
Our seller has been a collector of a very wide array of interesting
and "fun to own and drive" vehicles over the many years we have had
the pleasure to know him. We always know when he brings a vehicle
for us to sell for him, it will be "ready" and will be an excellent
driver. Such is the case with this very cool '54 Packard. It lived
in Crossville Tennessee before coming to Michigan about 14 years
ago. This Packard is built to cruise the highway at 70 miles per
hour in comfort with the Air Conditioning blowing cold on the
warmest days of the year, and of course included is a custom
aluminum radiator! It is powered by new 350 cubic inch General
Motors crate motor with a GM 700R Automatic Transmission
(overdrive), and it has a ford 9" rear end geared for highway
cruising. Power Steering and Brakes were the perfect upgrade. The
carburator was modified with a flow back system to eliminate vapor
lock. The enhancements underneath include disc brakes, dual
exhaust, and improved shocks. The Wiring is all new and it is now a
12V system. The chrome bumpers and grill were redone and the
stainless steel trim as were most inside pieces including window
frames, radio frame, and inside trim. The dash instrumentation is
modular (all 12 volt with a quartz clock). All of the window glass
is new. and the door handles (in and ouside) are new OEM. The door
sill plates were custom made. The wide white eall tires are
radials. It is number 2,700 of 2,760 built. It is finished in era
appropriate "Packard Ivory" (think pale Yellow) with Forsest Green
interior a great '50's choice. Our seller tells us that it is
realiable and smooth, even at 100 MPH! Our seller tells us he has
over $60K invested and is looking at offers. $42,500 is his asking
price.
