Vehicle Description
1967 Ford Mustang GT For Sale - "S" Code 390ci, 4-Speed, Rotisserie
Restored LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967 Ford Mustang
GT The 1967 model year Mustang was the first redesign of the
original model. Ford's designers began drawing up a larger version
even as the original was achieving sales success. The major
mechanical feature was to allow the installation of a big-block V8
engine. The overall size, interior and cargo space were increased.
Exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoop (1967
model) and chrome (1968 model) side ornamentation, square rear-view
mirrors, and usual yearly wheel and gas cap changes. The
high-performance 289 option was placed behind the newer 390 cu in
making 320 hp, which was equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. A
390 GT engine, a 4-speed top loader transmission recorded quarter
mile times of approximately 13 seconds and trap speeds of over 105
mph (169 km/h). This is a very rare chance to purchase a stunning
lime gold, "S" code, 4-speed, 1967 Mustang GT. This rare beast was
sold new at Wood Larkin Ford to its original owner on 06/29/1967.
Powered by a "S" code 390ci engine backed by a 4-speed manual
transmission and equipped with a bullet proof 9", 3:25 Traction-loc
rear end. It was refinished in its factory color of Lime Gold
complemented by a Black vinyl standard interior. This example came
highly optioned from the factory including GT equipment group (
which consisted of power front disc brakes, grill mounted fog
lights, dual exhaust with quad outlets), console, tilt-away
steering wheel, AM/8-Track stereo, exterior decor group, deluxe
seat belts, fold down rear seat, limited slip differential and
styled steel wheels with 185R14 radial tires. In recent years, this
Mustang GT benefited from a complete rotisserie restoration to
beautiful standards. The body was stripped, repainted and then wet
sanded and polished to a show quality luster. All exterior parts
have been re-chromed and the stainless trim and parts have been
polished. The engine bay, trunk and undercarriage have been very
nicely detailed to factory style, including the factory stickers,
paint and chalk markings. The undercarriage has been painted in the
factory red oxide primer with overspray and assembly markings. The
optional steel style wheels have been wrapped in BF Goodrich radial
tires. Although the car has been driven soem, this rotisserie
restoration shows extremely well. Important with any collector car,
this Mustang is documented with its original build sheet,
registered owner's manual, maintenance certification and owner
status report, maintenance guide and Marti report. The 1967 Ford
Mustang GT Fastback is an icon of pony car design and it has truly
stood the test of time, as it is considered by many to be one of
the most important Mustang models ever produced. Additional
