The 1962 Nash Metropolitan was the final year of production for
Nash's microcar, the Metropolitan. This 1962 Metro was also among
the smallest batch of Metropolitans produced by Nash, 1 of just 412
produced. Nash Metropolitans were, and continue to be, known as
budget friendly cars and were initially marketed to women after the
war. Today, Nash collectors love Metropolitans because they are
cute, reliable, easy to work on, and eye-catching. This particular
Metropolitan comes to us out of California and is an absolutely
stunning example. Powering this Metropolitan is an upgraded 1.2
Liter Datsun A12 motor that is paired with Single 2 barrel
carburetor, giving this cute little Nash more power and improved
reliability. The standard 3-on-the-tree transmission was also
upgraded to a floor mounted 4 Speed Manual, which makes for a much
better drive going down the road. The ignition system has also been
upgraded to an electronic PerTronix ignition system, providing for
a more reliable startup. This cute Metropolitan sits on 4
P155/80R13 Whitewall Radial Tires with Factory Metropolitan Hubcaps
that appear to be fairly new. The rear mounted Continental Kit also
features the signature Metropolitan Script logo and gives this car
a great classic look. The exterior of this Metropolitan has an
excellent look having been refinished with a Gold Metallic wrap and
White Paint scheme. The chrome and brightwork on this classic
Metropolitan are in excellent shape, including the "Flying Lady"
hood ornament. The interior on this 1962 Metropolitan was re-done
in late 2018. The Espresso Houndstooth Cloth and Velour bench seats
look to be in excellent condition. The dash and steering wheel also
appear to be in fantastic shape as well. The gauges have been
upgraded to provide improved engine information while cruising down
the road in this '62 Metropolitan. The radio has been upgraded to a
4 speaker JVC entertainment system to ensure that you can listen to
