For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

Chevrolet did a lot right in the 1960s, especially when it came to the Camaro, Chevelle and Corvette. That's why big block Chevelles continue to be some of the hottest metal on the collector car market. This impressive, first-generation coupe has all the right ingredients to bring big value and even bigger appeal. For starters, it's an authentic Chevelle Super Sport that backs 396 cubic inches of fuel injected big block with a proven Tremec 5-speed. It also combines vivid Marina Blue paint with a cool Medium Blue interior. And best of all, this Chevy has benefitted from acute restoration that, instead of fixing what wasn't broken, focused on bettering every aspect of how the car drives! Looking for a timeless Detroit superstar that mixes macho swagger with some of the best lines to ever prowl Main Street? Here's your next American idol!

DEEP MARINA

Carefully refinished in glossy Marina Blue two-stage that was sprayed over fully disassembled panels, this Chevelle is the beneficiary of focused restoration that's been performed as needed. At the front of the car, a familiar Super Sport grille hangs a bold "SS396" emblem between a bright "CHEVELLE" header and a polished bumper that's finished with clean parking lamps. Opposite that bumper, a correct Super Sport Hood fronts factory-tint glass that's seated behind polished wipers and straight frames. At the base of those frames, polished bowtie mirrors reflect polished door handles, ornate profile badging and correct Super Sport rocker trim. And at the back of the car, a striking Super Sport valance centers a second "SS396" emblem between clear brake lights and a second polished bumper that's finished with bright reverse lamps.

BIG BLOCK, BIG POWER!

Pop the hood and you'll find 396 cubic inches of choice Chevrolet power that's been fully rebuilt and completely restored to the tune of 425 horsepower! At the top of the Chevy Orange mill, a customized air cleaner drops oxygen into reliable FiTech fuel injection. A polished intake feeds lightweight aluminum heads that tilt polished and finned valve covers under a polished and finned oil cap. A hot COMP Cam fills throaty long-tube headers, which crawl around a polished oil pan. An MSD Pro-Billet distributor shoots spark through Moroso Ultra 40 Race Wires, which work well with an Accel Super Stock coil and MSD Street Fire ignition. A polished Wizard Cooling radiator swills water around quick SPAL puller fans. And, speaking of cooling, billet pulleys spin a proven Edelbrock water pump between a polished alternator, modern power steering and a polished AC compressor.

AS IT WERE, BUT BETTER

One look under this storied classic reveals a solid chassis that's every bit as road-ready as its stout 396. That beastly big block spins a tough Tremec 5-speed, which utilizes an 850 horsepower Ram dual-disc clutch to twist a familiar 12-bolt axle. That buff drivetrain rides a thoughtfully upgraded suspension, which mixes Classic Performance Products sway bars with double-adjustable coil-overs and tubular Classic Performance Products control arms. Turns come easy thanks to a quick-ratio Classic Performance Products steering box. A polished master cylinder pushes fluid to a quartet of fully sorted calipers, which squeeze a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Spent gases roar through three-inch pipes and throaty Magnaflow mufflers. And at the corners of the floors, stainless-trimmed Rally Wheels spin 235/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 245/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As.

BLUE ON BLUE

Decked in familiar Medium Blue vinyl, this Chevelle's retro interior is both attractive and inviting. Its clean bench seats are firm to the touch, showing no signs of detrimental wear and tear. In front of those seats, a chrome-trimmed dash anchors factory telemetry beside a correct AM radio and bright Equus accessory gauges. A polished shifter, fitted with a 4-speed knob for the sake of nostalgia, surfs a sea of blue carpet, which flows to pick-free door panels that are decked in stainless. The driver spins a requisite Chevrolet Rally Wheel around a cool Sunpro tach. And Vintage Air climate control keeps everything cool.

In summary, this top-notch Chevelle represents 'muscle motoring' at its very finest, combining a timeless driving experience with stunning design, acute restoration and no-excuses performance. Hit the backroads... Take it to the local cruise... Put it in the Holiday parade... Whatever you elect to do with this cool Chevy, it's sure to be the centerpiece of traffic, the focal point of your garage and, most importantly, the car you most look forward to being seen in!
