For Sale: 1987 AM General Hummer in Atlanta, Georgia
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1987 AM General M1025A1
Humvee. Fully restored to battle-ready status with all
communication equipment present and working, this HMMWV is tagged,
titled and street legal in Georgia (and is also equipped with
working A/C). This is a genuine M1025 armament carrier, not a
converted M998.
The body features an all-steel hard top with fully functional
turret, plus a steel slantback and hatch, Ibis-tek "Special Forces"
front bumper, airlift rear bumper and a Rico Rhino spare tire
carrier (with matching spare). The body has been stripped and
refinished with tan CARC paint and most of the black components
have been powder coated. All exterior lighting has been upgraded to
LED.
The hatch on top makes for a convenient sunroof on nice weather
days - but the rotating turret can accommodate the included MK64
mount for a .50 cal or a grenade launcher, plus an AT4 rocket
launcher, a chicken shield, ammo storage, etc (the non-firing
replicas pictured are included with the sale).
With portal axles and 24-bolt rims wearing 37-inch Goodyear
Wranglers, this Humvee provides 16 inches of ground clearance, can
climb a 60 percent grade and traverse a 40 percent side slope - and
thanks to the snorkel, it's equipped for deep-water fording up to
60 inches high.
The interior presents as new with all new paint, seat upholstery
and floor covering. A complete (and fully functional) VRC-12 radio
system with an RT-524 transceiver and an R-442 receiver is
installed, plus a VIC-1 intercom system. All lights, switchgear and
instruments are working as they should. The Red Dot air
conditioning system has been completely overhauled with a new
compressor, condenser, evaporator, hoses and controls - it's
running R134a and blowing cold.
Under the hood is a GM 6.2 liter Diesel mated to a turbo-hydramatic
automatic transmission with full-time four-wheel drive and a
24-volt waterproof electrical system. All service is up to date,
and this Humvee starts easily and runs and drives well. This rig is
unstoppable both on or off road.
The vast majority of military surplus Humvees have been rode hard
and put up wet, stripped of any interesting or useful equipment,
and are often difficult to title. We've never seen a better one
than this. A complete electronic set of HMMWV engine, operator,
radio and service manuals plus guides for the weapons and mounts
are included. Sold on a clean and clear Georgia road title. For
more information about this truly exceptional and one-of-a-kind
1987 AM General M1025 HMMWV for sale at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta,
