1990 IROC-Z Camaro (G92, Hardtop)
This is a performance-oriented 5.7 liter (350 cubic inch) IROC-Z with only 52,000 original miles. It is a rock-solid hardtop car. Hardtop was required to get the 5.7 liter engine and the G92 performance package. There were only 4,213 1990 IROC-Z cars made due to the licensing agreement expiring at the end of 1989. Of those, just 2,710 had the G92 performance axle.

This IROC is a factory DX3 car which was the “decal and stripe delete” option. The DX3 option is fairly rare with only 359 IROCs ordered without the lettering and stripes. It makes the car look very sleek and clean. With modern vinyl kits, it would be easy to put on the decals (and take off) if wanted.
The prior owner had the car repainted with a fresh coat of the original Bright Red. They also mounted 19’’ chrome rims and a shorty antenna. The original wheels and antenna come with the car.
A local GM mechanic thoroughly went through the car and it is mechanically excellent. The car has new tires, shocks, struts, bushings, and sway bar links. The handling is tight and precise. All of the receipts are available that details the work done. Everything on the car operates as it should (including the cruise control, power windows, power locks, and power hatch mechanism). The AC was converted with a new compressor and works fantastic. The only thing that doesn’t work on the car is the factory Bose stereo. An aftermarket stereo (not installed) is included with the car. Often times, low mileage IROCs still need a lot of work to get them in reliable driving condition. All of that work has already been done on this car. It is ready to drive.
The car has only been driven in the summer with just 2,000 miles put on it over the last 3 years. In the winter, it is started every 3-4 weeks and brought up to operating temperature. It is always garaged and never wet. The undercarriage is neat and clean.
