1941 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COUPE It is our honor to today present
this beautiful, significant and professionally restored 1941
Lincoln Continental Coupe for sale. Classic car value and antique
car values are determined by a multitude of factors both in and out
of the owner's control. A collector car's value is appraised
according to its rarity, condition, restoration quality, and market
demand. Another significant value influence is provenance, or
history of the vehicle, especially if previously owned by a
celebrity or public personality. If you bought it and someone asked
you "where did that car come from? "and you can answer " the
stunning Hollywood star Rita Hayworth" that imbues it with a
certain je nais se quoi. As the French would say. A certain
singular glory as it were. Offered for sale here is the 1941
Lincoln Continental Coupe believed to be owned for about 30 years
by one of Hollywood's Golden Era stunning beauties, Rita Hayworth.
It is believed to have been gifted to Mrs. Hayworth by her future
husband, Orson Welles. After owning the Lincoln for about 30 years,
Mrs. Hayworth gifted the car to her personal secretary Frita Wolfe.
In 1972 Wolfe sold the car to Aspen Pittman. At that time, it was
powered by a 1955 Cadillac engine. Pittman sold the car in order to
finance his business venture Groove Tubes. At some point, it became
part of the Art Astor Automobile Collection, which auctioned the
car in 2008 for $209,000. Description Chassis No. H127443 120 bhp
