Chevrolet magazine advertisement touting J.D. Powers Initial
Quality Survey results That vintage advertisement concluded with
The Most Dependable Longest-Lasting Trucks. In fact, another Chevy
ad in the series proclaimed: More than 98% of all Chevy trucks sold
in the last ten years are still on the road. Some 28 years later,
the Chevy 2500 Silverado pickup offered here bears out that
longest-lasting claim. At just over 105,000 total miles-fewer than
4,000 miles per-year on average-this classic red-and-white,
full-size, four-wheel-drive pickup hasn't merely lasted, it's
become virtually timeless. Evident throughout the truck are signs
of meticulous owner care and maintenance; there's not even a ding
on the expansive sheet metal! Body panel alignment is
factory-perfect, and the gloss and absence of paint-fading strongly
suggests the truck wasn't exposed to the environment when not in
use. In fact, approximately 90% of the paint is original. The only
change to the original paint was the addition of Stone-Guard paint
to the lower 8-inches of the truck. Chrome bumpers and trim,
lighting lenses, cabin glass, factory-applied emblems, 4x4
graphics, brushed-metal Chevrolet tailgate trim, steel 6-lug
wheels, and the gold bowtie Chevrolet grille emblem are all
well-maintained and damage-free. More proof of meticulous
owner-care: the rear cargo box and tailgate are protected with a
full, un-scarred bed-liner. Virtually no fading is present on any
exterior surface. Brand new Michelin tires are mounted to the steel
wheels. Inside, the slight entry-and-exit wear on the street side
of the driver's seat is the sole significant evidence of the
truck's age. Otherwise, the condition of the two-tone gray fabric
upholstery on the bench seat and door panels is very good.
Carpeting (protected with GM-branded rubber floor mats), headliner,
and door-sill step-over areas are all well-maintained. The classic,
upright dash, instrument cluster (a style Chevy used for several
model years) is complete. Factory radio and cassette audio units
are in place. The truck is equipped with a steering-column-mounted
automatic-transmission shifter and floor-mounted 4WD transfer case
lever. Factory-applied data stickers showing vehicle build
information and option codes remain in place. Under the hood, the
clean and fully detailed engine bay hosts the 5-liter Chevrolet V8.
All components are properly located and functional. The chassis
remains in great condition as well. A SkyJacker 2 front level kit
was installed along with new control arms to make sure the job was
done right. A Flowmaster exhaust system is in place and undamaged,
with no sign of too-aggressive driving or significant off-road use.
It's also worth mentioning that this truck is a 2500 LD that has a
7200 GVWR. The more than 130 high-definition photographs available
on the Garage Kept Motors site, together with the
walk-around-and-startup video (and damage-free Carfax report)
faithfully present this '93 Chevrolet 2500 pickup from every angle,
including from underneath. That said, we always encourage in-person
