This is the kind of truck that instantly gets your mind working.
You just know how amazed people will be to see you are the only one
to show up in a 1942 Ford COE (Cab Over Engine). With a powerful
turbodiesel motor, upgraded chassis, custom A/C interior, and tall
exhaust stacks, this one can steal the show no matter what you have
on the back.
A commercial-grade 1942 truck is something we don't see too often,
because most of our production that year was diverted to fighting
WWII. And while you'll love mentioning its significance, we bet
there are a ton of people who will just be marveling at the level
of custom presentation this has today. After all, the bold red and
black two-tone has the unmistakable luster of a modern and
professional application. And it really is detailed, everywhere
from the skull-tipped poles that show you the edge of the bumpers,
to the cool sunshade that gives a nod to this truck's big diesel
power. There's plenty of fun intimidation everywhere you look,
including the tall exhaust stacks, big Budnik polished wheels, tall
towing mirrors, and air horns mounted on the roof. And the diamond
plate bumper not only looks like it could push traffic out of the
way, but it also matches the custom flatbed. That bed is built for
true use with lockable storage boxes and a proper trailer hitch
w/plug on the rear. Plus, those integrated tie-downs have you
dreaming about all that you can put on the back.
Inside is more of the red and black to match the exterior. They
made sure to keep a classic look but with all the right
investments. For example, the dual bucket seats have a low-back
style, but with the kind of modern bolstering that makes them
long-haul comfortable. The steering column has the classic
mounting, but now it's a tilt unit with a sports wheel for added
comfort. This has been updated with the features you really want,
like an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input, cup holders, and
cold-blowing air conditioning. And since this is a useful truck, it
comes with the right info package to keep you fully informed. This
includes the backlit VDO gauges, a Super Pro tach mounted in the
headliner, digital boost gauge, trailer brake control, and air ride
switches w/readout.
One of the big reasons we know this truck is still ready to get to
work is because of the upgrade in the engine compartment. This may
look like a classic, but it's now running a big 6.6-liter
turbodiesel. It's been upgraded with components from Pacific
Performance Engineering (PPE) such as the injectors, fuel rails,
and program management. There's also a custom intercooler. The
power rating is now said to be 700hp! This was built on a modified
suburban frame that includes an air ride rear suspension. And
because this was built to be a driver, it also includes power
steering, front disc brakes, a Ford 9-inch rear, and a versatile
Allison transmission six-speed automatic transmission.
No matter if you have something special to tow or just want to be
the biggest/baddest classic all on your own, this rare classic Ford
hauler is a unique treat that's going to be memorable everywhere it
goes. So don't miss your chance, call today!
