Vehicle Description
This 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is the first year of production
for the most powerful car Ford has ever put to the streets. So yes,
it's an instant collectible. That's why it's great to find one that
that's been optioned and invested in correctly for both
preservation and enjoyment. So if you're quick enough, a fresh and
prized supercar is up for grabs.
Everything about this car is awesome, so we'll start with the most
obvious part, the paint. Twister Orange is a new color for 2020
that has a sense of familiarity to speedy pony car fans. It's named
after the Twister Special limited edition cars that were
celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2020. These were a very short
run of cars that were made to do battle on the blacktop. So this
special color really sets the attitude right for this GT500. But
this one hasn't been doing battle, and instead, it's few months out
in the world have all been about preservation. The paint was fully
ceramic coated and there has been a clear protective film put over
the car (a $7.500 investment in total.) So you get to lock in that
awesome shine and worry less when someone tries to take a selfie
next to it at Cars & Coffee. And you just know this one is going to
attract a crowd. After all, there's a full mean blackout package
against the orange. It highlights the full body kit, optional full
racing stripe package, louvered hood, special 20-inch wheels, and
massive front end that makes this one look like it will inhale cars
instead of passing them. And those who know these cars will
recognize the optional Handling Package that includes the spoiler
with Gurney flap. Plus, this one has some more special touches,
like the blackout rear taillights and the orange powder coated
brake calipers just to give this an elevated level of
sophistication that this brawler-like Shelby deserves.
The interior delivers a pure speed machine that also has a ton of
luxury. It starts with options like the Recaro sport seats. With
barely any miles on this car, you can see the intricate style and
smell the fresh leather-trim. This is loaded with all the best
modern amenities like power windows, power locks, keyless
entry/ignition, dual front airbags, side airbags, and cruise
control. There's even dual-zone automatic climate control. The
Technology Package option makes the touchscreen infotainment system
your command space for the backup camera, Bluetooth, sat nav,
CarPlay, and upgraded Bang and Olufsen stereo. But what you'll
really love is the track-ready feel of the Alcantara sports
steering wheel, paddle shifters, two-mode exhaust control, and a
full digital display that can be programmed to maximize your
driving.
The 5.2-liter supercharged V8 is a very special motor. That's why
it has an individual signature plaque for the person who hand-built
it just for this car (it's the kind of thing you see on an AMG
Mercedes.) Ford calls this powerhouse the Predator, and it
certainly earns its name. This is a 760 horsepower juggernaut, and
so this pony can even dine on cars that cost several times its
retail. Which makes it quite a bargain in comparison. These come
standard with magnetic ride control that instantly adjusts the
fully independent suspension to all conditions. The Tremec
seven-speed dual-clutch transmission has an everyday easy automatic
mode, but when it comes time for fun, those paddle shifters have a
quicker shift action than you could even make with a stick. The
Brembo four-wheel discs brakes, electronic power steering, and
Michelin Pilot Sport tires complete a package designed to deliver
awesome grip.is
As a true collectible, the sale comes with the owner's manual
packet and laminated window sticker. This one is so fresh that it's
still under the factory warranty. So if you want to be driving the
ultimate Ford tomorrow, you need to call today!
