This 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback has a mean look and an even
meaner sound. Even though the 1966 Mustang was the most popular
Mustang of all time, the 2+2 Fastback body style is the most rare.
This particular example was manufactured on March 31st in Ford's
Metuchen, New Jersey plant. This Mustang Fastback is a well-done
tribute to the legendary Hertz "Rent-a-Racer" Mustangs that were
introduced in 1966. Powering this pony car is a 289 Cubic Inch V8
motor with upgraded headers and dual 4 barrel Holley carburetors. A
4 speed manual transmission with Hurst Floor-Mounted Shifter gives
this classic Fastback Mustang that sporty muscle car feel driving
down the road. Dual exhaust gives this '66 Mustang a throaty sound
and with electric exhaust diverters, this Ford muscle car screams
even louder with the flick of a switch. The Raven Black exterior
paint on this Pony Car is in excellent shape, especially for a
black car. The Hertz Gold racing stripes are paint on and look
great, especially with the hood scoop. The chrome and brightwork on
this Mustang is in very nice shape as well. This Mustang sits on 4
radial tires with American Racing wheels, which give this Mustang a
distinguished look and nice ride. The Black Vinyl Bucket Seats with
Black Rosette Vinyl Inserts are correct for the car. Of course this
Mustang is a 2+2, meaning that it also has a rear black vinyl bench
seat as well. The dash features the standard Mustang instrument
cluster, along with aftermarket AutoMeter tachometer, oil pressure
gauge and water temperature gauge neatly tucked under the dash. The
radio has also been upgraded on this Mustang, so that you can
listen to all of your tunes cruising down the road. The steering
wheel appears to be stock and is in very nice shape. Whether you're
