Vehicle Description
The bright and sleek body makes a bold first impression of this
1973 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod. And the deeper you dig, the more
you realize it backs up this confidence with a new 4L60 auto trans,
fully upgraded suspension w/air bags, race cage, four-wheel disc
brakes, and a well-built fuel-injected LT1 motor. But more than
just powerful, this has also been upgraded to be a stylish machine
that gives you the best comforts, like air conditioning, too.
When you look at the custom work to the body, interior, engine bay,
and undercarriage, you instantly understand why this one was
painted such a bold yellow. It's proud to be such a well-built
machine. It's a quality application that has a smooth shine. And
adding to this sleekness is the eliminated the trim and deleted the
door handles. In fact, the only factory-style brightwork you'll
find are the mirror-like chrome bumpers they really accurate this
early 2nd gen car's form. This keeps some of the Camaro's best
elements like the cowl hood and ducktail rear spoiler, but even
those have been customized. And those wheels are a true upgrade
that still stay in the Chevy family. They are C6 Corvette Z06
double-spoke alloys with an aggressive 18/19 inch front/rear
stagger. And any time you want to have an even better stance, the
air bag suspension lets you dial it in on-demand.
Pop in the remote door openers to reveal more investment in custom
work. This is a full mix of performance and comfort, and they are
united by a well-done beige color theme. There are
competition-ready components, like the leather racing bucket seats,
Simpson harnesses, and a full race/reinforcement cage that extends
through the firewall. This is joined by nice features like the
power windows AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB input, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. They even adapted a final-gen Firebird dash with
center console to give this a modern level of comfort. The sports
steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column to give you a great view
to the full AutoMeter Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite gauge package. And
the shifter is exactly where you want to rest your right hand.
The forward-tilt hood is just another way for this Camaro to show
off its custom style. But it's what's inside that will really
impress. The smooth inner walls and firewall match the exterior
yellow. And as the middle is a muscular 5.7-liter LT1 V8. This
fuel-injected powerhouse has been upgraded with a ram air intake,
BBK/Edelbrock throttle body, and the LT4's hotter cam. The instant
response of this fuel-injected motor, the control of the upgraded
4L60 auto trans, and the 4.10 gear in the rear make this a
seriously quick machine right off the line. But power is nothing
without control. That's why you have a C4 front suspension, Caltrac
traction bars in the rear, and four-wheel disc brakes
all-around.
This is such an awesome build it was even previously featured in
Super Chevy Magazine. It's a thoughtful and thorough custom that
delivers plenty of power in a comfortable total package. Call
