Ford introduced the Ford Mustang in 1964 an instant love affair with the American Pony Car was born. The Mustang was smaller, lighter, and more nimble that any American manufacturer had produced thus far. This coupled with its fresh design, the Ford Mustang became a must have among the American public. Tons of different levels of performance were offered, and there were three different body styles offered.

While convertibles and fastbacks are the most well-known body styles, the coupes offered the same level of performance and are much rarer. There were just 4,766 GT coupes, convertibles and fastbacks built in 1968. For 1968, the GT package meant a whole host of upgrades. This car features a 302cid V8 4bbl with a 4 speed manual transmission. The car originally came with a 3 speed manual transmission. This is a real deal GT! The car comes with a copy of a Marti Report, showing it was sold in Grand Haven, MI on 6/29/68. The notable features include black out hood treatment, black vinyl roof, limited slip rear axle, louvered hood, power disc brakes, AM/FM stereo, reflective group, tinted glass. The car also comes with a copy of the window sticker.
The cosmetics of this car are incredible, the Candy Apple Red paint is in great condition on the super straight body, and the the car has been repainted in 2016. All of the exterior trim is in excellent shape and the chrome shines well. The car has GT hubcaps, fog lights and a vinyl top, all of which is in great shape. The interior is also in great shape, with excellent seats and a very nice dashboard. Not often do we get cars that are so nice to look at and so nice to drive.
