A host of new features take the 2009 Porsche 997 to the next level,
including a more powerful and efficient engine, a revised
entertainment system, and an optional, state-of-the-art automated
manual transmission. Combined with a refreshed exterior, the new
911 improves on an already superb combination of sharp looks,
performance, and daily drivability. Notable changes have been made
to the second generation (997.2) "Metzger" engines as they now
feature a one-piece crankcase, high-pressure direct fuel injection,
a pair of variable geometry blowers, unequal length intake
manifolds, larger intercoolers, and a free-flow exhaust with two
separate catalysts. This 911 is able to produce 480bhp at 6000rpm,
with 460lb-ft of torque @ 1950-5000 rpm. It travels 0 to 60 MPH in
3.7 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph.
