For Sale: 1971 Lincoln Continental in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

This 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III is big in size, style, luxury, and power. In fact, the only thing that's not big on this classic coupe is the price.

The 1971 cars celebrated something special. This was 50 years of Lincoln being the crown jewel in the Ford family, and the luxurious Mark III really took center stage. This was born an Arctic White car, and it was refreshed later in life to keep a bright style without looking out of place on a very stock classic. And for an added touch of class, this has the coordinating white vinyl roof. It makes for a clean canvas to add a nice hint of color as the red pinstripe runs the full length to show off the sporty curve of the rear fender. We also love the bumpers. They hug the form like an integral part of the design, and these have a terrific shine. And there's plenty of more great original style brightwork everywhere from the turbine-style wheel covers to a grille that's as dignified as a Rolls-Royce.

We love it when the exterior pinstripe is a preview of the interior color, and the deep red makes for quite an attractive setup. The wide/smooth dash pad and shag carpeting really have that 1970s feel. And these large Mark IIIs had plenty of room to share with everyone. But the fold-down armrest is a reminder that the driver always gets individual space. This is a very original-style interior. That means you have provisions for significant luxury features like power seats, power windows, power locks, cruise control, power headlight doors, and factory air conditioning. These do need investments to return the full function, and so the value price is there to leave room in your budget for when you want to choose where to make improvements. And what you'll really like is that from day one you get an impressively preserved interior that shows the Lincoln difference in the details. It's everywhere from the decorative stitching in the seatbacks, to the real wood trim they utilized when other premium brands just used simulated lumber.

Ford's big 460 cubic inch V8 with four-barrel carburetor is a terrific powerhouse. It looks dominating in the engine bay with the blue block, valve covers, and air grabber all radiating in the darkness. And if you dig a little deeper, you'll also notice the right investments like a new battery and the A/C system retrofitted for R134a. The big V8 was built in the higher compression era, and so it knows how to get this coupe moving with authority. Plus, it's supported by the right comfortable driving pieces, including the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front.

This Lincoln has the size, style, and stature you love. And so at a price like this, you'll want to hurry on this deal. Call today!!!
