Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet 150 is the pleasant kind of restomod that keeps
a stock kind of look for this classic, but offers the versatility
of a fuel-injected V8 and an overdrive transmission.
This two-door grabs all the right attention. The Tropical Turquoise
and white two-tone represents the era nicely. It was an upgrade as
part of the car's restoration that was completed in 2016. So that
means a more modern clearcoat luster to give this an added pop when
it's outdoors. And as you keep reading about this Chevy, you'll
realize it's happiest when it's out for a drive. The 150 line had a
terrific look in 1957. You got the most iconic face of the Tri-Five
era mixed with the side trim from the '55 Bel Air. The result is a
car that is vintage, premium, and a touch of distinction even in
the Chevy crowd. And with complete brightwork, good
weather-stripping, and upgraded the Cragar SS wheels, this one know
how to correctly stand out from the masses.
The two-tone style continues inside. The seats have a thoughtful
look with the bright white for a boarder and the teal insert
follows a classic tuck and roll pattern. The door panels and parcel
shelf are done to match, and the dash and headliner coordinate for
a very uniform presentation that's both fresh and stylish. The
bright dash trim, stylish steering wheel, and all other
fundamentals keep a very stock and classic feel. So you may not
first notice the well-integrated and worthwhile upgrades. There's
front seatbelts, better insulation, stereo speakers, and a modern
AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input hidden under the seat. And have you
counted the gears on the selector yet?
Under the hood is the kind of upgrade you can't hide, and in fact,
we bet you'll proudly show off. The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was
installed with care so that it almost looks like it has always
belonged there. It's ideal for a serious extra kick of power and
the consistency that a modern fuel-injected powerhouse can bring.
This is a thoughtful upgrade for a driver's classic, and they want
to make sure you can enjoy it near or far. That's why you also have
an aluminum radiator to help keep the full package running cool,
and the 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission means
highway-friendly overdrive. A nice set of mufflers gives this V8 a
mellow tone. Plus, power steering, power brakes w/discs up front,
and wide Cooper Cobra tires make it truly an easy-going
cruiser.
This '57 Chevy has a stylish look inside and out, and there's an
upgraded heart that lets you show off this icon wherever you like
with ease. So that makes for a terrific driver's classic. Call
