Vehicle Description
This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 has the desirable five-window style. So
when you have an iconic presence like this, you really like to be
presented as a true classic with just the right hints of better
cruiser features.
We love these post-war pickups in a forest-like shade of green. It
just seems like the right mix of a business-ready paint with just a
touch of optimism. That's especially true with this application
that has just the right gloss to show off the curvy classic venders
and alligator hood. So it has that look where you want to paint the
name of your farm on the side. The body lines have the look of
quality, and the really wood in the truck bed has an attractive
stain sealing in the gloss. GM's Rally wheels are an obvious
upgrade. However, they don't look out of place, because the
bumpers, grille, and headlight bezels all have the bright look of a
newer investment.
The desirable five-window cab means you get more light inside, and
so it's great to see a thoughtfully done interior. The bench seat
has been more recently recovered in a vivid green. And we
especially like how the white piping coordinates with the cream on
the arm rests, steering wheel cap, and dash trim. The atmosphere is
pure vintage, and so you get the kind of airy cab you want in a
true classic truck. But even pickups of this era had a heater, and
so you'll appreciate this upgraded unit every time you feel like
going for a crisp Sunday morning drive.
The 3100-series trucks famously relied on the Chevy's trusty
inline-six motor. That tradition continues here, but with some
driver-ready style. First, this is a 235 cubic-inch engine, which
is the larger of the two displacements available in 1951. It has
the right maintenance on the fundamentals, including newer hoses,
belt, wires, and plugs. And the addition of a 12-volt electrical
system and alternator make it nicer to start and run. The
column-shifted three-speed manual transmission gives you the
classic feeling going down the road. But those upgraded wheels have
wide modern tires to let you hold the road better.
You're looking at the ideal vintage setup that really wants to go
for a Sunday drive. A driver-ready five-window Chevy is always
desirable, so don't miss out. Call today!!!
