Vehicle Description
1972 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT is the premium vintage pickup that gives
you bold paint, proper V8 power, and a very cool looking interior
that knows how to keep you feeling cool with A/C.
The factory-correct Candyapple Red is a bold color, and it's made
even better by a quality respray later in life. So you have the
right classic truck look where the luster gives it a good
presentation, but without taking it too far to lose its pickup
sensibilities. It's part of an overall look of sturdy but
attractive that this Ford portrays quite well. You see it in
details, like the mirror-like shine of the solid chrome bumpers and
how the top-of-the-line Ranger XLT has full-length trim that
highlights the straightness of the sheetmetal. There's even a new
grille and upgraded wheels. It all makes for an impressive total
package.
This was born with more red inside, but you can also see that the
interior has some custom pieces, too. You've got the classic bench
seat, but now there are fresher comfy cloth inserts. And that
pattern really adds distinction, especially with the matching
custom door panels. There are some good vintage details, and we
always like the sliding rear glass that allows old-school breezes
through the cab. And whenever that doesn't get you cool enough, the
factory air conditioning is also blowing nice and cold.
The engine bay has smooth inner walls, a tidy setup, and a hardy V8
in the middle. This is Ford's big 390 cubic-inch motor, and it has
a quality look thanks to the bold blue block and newer pieces like
the hoses, plugs, and wires. The truck fires up nicely, idles well,
and the C6 three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. So
it makes for a pickup you're going to want to drive. That's why it
also comes with welcomed features like power steering, power
brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
This is a total package of a sharp style and useful features that
make for an all-around great classic pickup. So don't miss this
