This 1957 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery has a sleek and classic look.
But beneath the skin is Ford's mighty 429 big block V8. So the
charm of this special build is more than just about nostalgia.
The '57 Ford is a very cool machine. It has the single headlights
up front that Ford made look frenched right at the factory, and in
the rear were Thunderbird-style afterburner tail lights. And the
side trim really draws added attention to the tailfins. So it
already made for one of the coolest delivery vehicles back in the
day. But what makes it really impressive now is the total
execution. There have been investments in the bumpers and grille
for a bright shine. There are cool cruiser details like the
polished 15-inch wheels and blue-dot headlights. And the red paint
has a good gloss from an application that was updated later in
life. So it makes for a nice backdrop for the full custom
pinstriping package.
The interior has a very cool style that mixes comfort and
performance. For example, the front seats are done in a two-tone
gray velour with button-top seatback and fold down armrests. It
looks like they belong in a classic Lincoln, except for the fact
you also have racing-style G-Force seatbelts. The side panels and
carpeting/mats have been done in two-tone to match. There's even a
rear bench seat that coordinates. You can also fold it down to
maximize the cargo in this panel delivery. There are some nice
upgrades, like the AM/FM/CD stereo that make this good for
everyone. But this absolutely feels like a driver-oriented classic.
You have the Billet Specialties sports steering wheel, B&M
floor shifter, and crisp auxiliary gauge trio. Plus, a nice touch
is how the factory readouts were replaced with digital units that
glow red to match the car.
The forward-tilt hood has a sport style, and within is a tidy big
block heart. Ford's famous 429 cubic-inch V8 looks ready for
display with polished pieces like the valve covers, air grabber,
radiator shroud, brake booster, and more. This mighty motor is
built right with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, mid-rise intake,
headers, and big 3-inch dual exhaust pipes. It also is supported by
the right pieces, including an MSD ignition, Optima red top
battery, and an aluminum radiator. This full package warms up to be
a strong runner. The C6 three-speed automatic transmission is a
stout unit, and it feeds a Ford 9-inch rear end. Power brakes,
front discs, and BF Goodrich T/As with extra meaty rubber in the
rear all come together to make a powerful delivery system.
This big block sedan delivery has the right style to be everything
from a cool surf wagon to an awesome way to promote your business.
And no matter how you use it, the growl that this big block
produces makes sure all eyes will be on you. Call today!!!
