Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Z28 which is in restored condition and comes in a rare sought after exterior color of Bright Blue Metallic. This Z28 is a nicely restored example with working factory Air Conditioning and a newly added 290HP 350 crate engine with about 1000 miles on it. This Z28 features a beautiful repaint in factory Bright Blue Metallic which still shows very well, a restored Blue Vinyl Interior, a newer 290HP 350 crate engine, and working factory AC. This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Bright Blue Metallic (code 24) over Blue vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. Also included with this Z28 is several receipts and service records.
Exterior
The Bright Blue Metallic exterior is in terrific overall condition. This Z28 was treated to a professional repaint in factory Bright Blue in recent years and still shows very well today. The paint is in great overall condition with a great shine and gloss and is smooth to the touch. This Z28 is solid and has great lines. Both bumpers are in great shape shape with no flaking or faded paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have lots of tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the Factory wheels are restored OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash and have been repainted in body color. Trunk is very solid and clean. Door seals, window seals, trunk seal, and window sweeps are all in great shape.
Interior
The Blue Vinyl interior of this Z28 is in splendid stock restored condition. The new seat covers are in perfect condition with no noticeable wear anywhere. The carpet was replaced and is in excellent condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in terrific condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in good condition as well. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern Pioneer unit with CD player but needs rear speakers installed. The door panels have been replaced and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The package tray has been replaced and is like new condition and the headliner has been replaced as well. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, blower motor, cigarette lighter and wipers all work. The tach reads a bit higher than it should. The factory AC system is fully intact and works great and was recently serviced properly, see receipts. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Z28 is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives very well. A strong running replacement Chevy 350 crate engine is coupled with the nice shifting original 4 speed manual transmission. This is a strong running 350 crate engine with 290 HP. Crate engine alone was nearly $3000 with another $3800 spent on installing the engine and replacing several mechanical components such as: new water pump and fuel pump, new clutch, new distributor and wires, new starter, new carb. etc. In the video one can observe this car running with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car performs and idles well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The exhaust is upgraded to a newer performance system with dual mufflers with an H pipe and has a muscle car exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine bay is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
