1972 Chevrolet Corvette
The C3 Chevrolet Corvettes, produced from 1968-1982, remain among the more popular collector corvettes on the market. The final year of the chrome front and rear bumper came in 1972 as did the removable glass rear window. The 1972 model still maintained the Stingray moniker and are still considered muscle cars. The 1973 Corvette began the transformation from muscle car to touring sports car.
The '72 Stingray presented at auction is a color code correct Sunflower Yellow. Records show that just over 1500 1972 Corvettes were painted this highly desired color. The car sports the original, numbers matching, 350 cu in, 5.7L, 200hp small block, 4-speed manual transmission, tank sticker and T-tops. This car has been restored to original except for the addition of the sporty '69 side pipes and LT1-style hood. Very presentable car in great condition that drives and handles well.
Additional items included in sale:
-Two Steering Wheels (racing and original)
-AM-FM cassette player
-Set of replacement door locks
-Replacement stickers for Vehicle Emissions Control Information and “Keep your GM car all GM” decals
