1998 Supercharged Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer
Car History
The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV manufactured by Ford.
Introduced for the 1997 model year as the successor of the Ford
Bronco, the Expedition was the first full-size Ford SUV sold with a
four-door body.
For its entire production life, the Ford Expedition has been
derived from the corresponding generation of the Ford F-150 in
production, sharing some body and mechanical components.
But, the one we have here at Adventure Classics is a bit different.
It has undergone a complete transformation with a Lightning SVT
Conversion swap done by Ramsey performance Lutz Florida, custom
paint, and a plush Lincoln Navigator interior.
Engine & Drivetrain
As we said earlier a Lightning Conversion swap done was by Ramsey
performance Lutz Florida, who added the Ford 5.4L Lightning SVT S/C
small block to performance levels backed by a 4R 100 transmission
with a performance stall converter, and a H.D. 3.73 posi rear
end.
The supercharged engine has a lot of goodies on it including a Big
Air MAF SCT, ram air system, performance battery, and much more
providing plenty of horsepower and low-end torque that never feels
strained.
The engine bay is as clean as the rest of the truck and the whole
package only has approximately 40,000 miles.
The exhaust system has a great tone and the Expedition rides on
aftermarket Dick Cepek mag wheels, blackwall performance tires, and
4-wheel disk brakes that have drilled and slotted rotors too.
Interior
The interior is another very pleasant surprise as it has been
updated with a very plush Lincoln Navigator interior offering
comfortable grey buckets for the passenger and driver plus buckets
for the second row passengers, with a third row bench seat!
Ours has all the upscale appointments you would expect like power
everything, rear factory A/C, matching door panels and carpet, a
full array of big, legible gauges in front of the driver as well as
performance gauges above the rear-view mirror, consoles front and
rear, an upgraded Pioneer stereo system with large viewing screen
in the wood grain dash, wood grain on the steering wheel and dash
inserts, and a protective dash pad.
Exterior
The exterior has been painted in a great looking two-tone white
over black paint scheme with chrome bumper in front and a chrome
step bumper and tow package rear, black push-bar with K.C. lights
in the front, chrome side-steps, factory grille and headlights, and
dark tinted windows that add just the right contrast to give it the
sinister look.

Lightning SVT Conversion, custom paint, and a plush Lincoln
Navigator interior.
