Vehicle Description
Why This Car Is Special
The Mustang changed the course of auto buying history and started a
Ford cult of fans and hopped-up Mustangs. A lot of changes were in
store for the Mustang after its initial start in 1964 . The 1968
Mustang was the first year for several changes, most notably the
engine choices, it is also the only year a VIN plate was put on the
passenger side of the dash, and one of only two years of this body
style (67-68).
What makes this Mustang that we have here at Skyway Classics so
special is...Horsepower. Under that big cowl hood sets a plethora
of hot-rodded small block Ford power because it is now a
supercharged Mustang.
Mechanical
Under the hood is a chromed-out small block Ford topped with a
chrome Forced Induction supercharger and Edelbrock 4-barrel
carburetor on top. Add performance heads, performance ignition
system, polished Ford Motorsport valve covers, performance spark
plug wires and looms, with the exhaust duties left to very capable
polished big-tube headers running to true dual exhaust.
This car sounds like a built engine at idle and revs fast and easy,
but wait till you hear the blower whine!
This powerhouse is mated to an automatic transmission, and to keep
you in control at all times, it has a redone suspension with front
disc brakes providing the stopping power.
The chassis is just as clean as the engine compartment with both
providing a lot of compliments wherever you show it at and it is so
easy to drive with the power steering and those power brakes.
Interior
The interior is basically stock immaculate 1968 Mustang. The
exceptions are a couple extra gauges mounted under the dash. The
black vinyl twin bucket seats are in great shape, as is the
matching black carpet, door panels, dash and headliner. A wood and
polished steering wheel is a nice touch and gives you a great feel
as well as looks great too.
Exterior
A bright red Mustang is what most people think of when they think
"hot Mustang." This Mustang looks great in red, with custom chrome
10-spoke mag wheels, blackwall tires, and just enough chrome and
brightwork to tie it all together.
The front end of these 67-68 Mustangs is killer with the custom
grill and the functional cowl induction hood scoop covering the
supercharged engine. This car has a great look that is sure to get
you noticed.
Conclusion
Mustangs are always popular, and the 60s cars move fast. If you're
searching for a Mustang coupe with good power and great looks, then
your search is over when you come see the bright red supercharged
Mustang that we have here at Skyway Classics.
