Vehicle Description
From The Godbey Family Collection this 1969 Jaguar XKE 'Series II'
Roadster has just over 23,000 documented miles. This eye-catching
example offers the best of all the 4.2 litre XKE had to offer.
Starting with a rust free, documented low mileage Series II
roadster the car received a bare metal repaint in Signal Red. Under
the bonnet, the twin Stromberg carburetors were replaced with
triple 45DCOE152 Weber carburetors with custom made linkage on a
bespoke manifold and a modern five speed manual gearbox installed
by Jaguar performance specialists Donovan Racing in Massachusetts.
An aftermarket aluminum radiator was fitted to assure cool running
temperatures under all conditions. Other upgrades and service items
include; the brakes were totally rebuilt, the fuel tank cleaned and
sealed, new shocks installed plus a host of suspension parts
replaced, ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, new water pump, new
clutch and a lengthy list of other service and upgrade parts. To
top off the driving enhancements a custom stereo system is fitted
with speakers behind the seats.
