Vehicle Description
Just the sight of a classic panel wagon gets everyone from surfers
to business owners excited. But when this 1955 Ford Courier Sedan
Delivery is upgraded with a proper V8 and more versatile
five-speed, well you know it becomes an irresistible classic to
everyone.
The Waterfall Blue and Snowshoe White is a really cool two-tone. It
takes the period-correct colors and gives them the kind of deeper
shine you get on a vehicle that was restored within the last few
years. In fact, you can also tell this has been given all the right
more recent investments in the way the panels align, the
weather-stripping is pliable, and the bumpers have a mirror-like
shine. It's a great classic look, but that's not all you love about
this panel wagon. It also has the unmistakable look of classic
power. It's in the details, including the bright dual exhaust tips
and competition-style American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
Sedan delivery vehicles were developed for utility, but this custom
build makes sure to add in comfort and style. It starts with the
bucket seats. These have a fresh presentation of the classic
cruiser style. And it is wonderfully detailed with the white tuck
and roll style insert with contrasting black stitching. Even the
door panels were done to match. The dash, headliner, sun visors
coordinate, too. And the full black carpeting extends to the cargo
area making this great for carrying business supplies or just the
coolest weekend camper around. Even if you just want this for a fun
classic, this Ford knows how to do it right. You have a true
classic style mixed with upgrades like a cup holder center console
and a Hurst floor shifter.
The engine bay is the right mix of style and substance. For
example, this was born a six-cylinder car, but they upgraded it to
a 272 cubic-inch V8 (which debuted in 1955.) And this really has
the classic look correct, right down to the Thunderbird Special
valve covers. But this has also been upgraded correctly for modern
driving with features like the 12-volt electrical system,
alternator, and an aluminum radiator. Plus, this V8 inhales deeply
with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added
power and authority as a set of Red's headers feed the dual
exhaust. This is the kind of classic that wants you to really have
a vintage feeling out on the road. But they still want it to be
versatile, and so you have an upgraded five-speed manual
transmission to control it all.
Complete with maintenance records, this is a classic that will look
just as good in your garage as it would in front of your business,
and so we know there are plenty of people who want it. Hurry up and
call today!
