1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL is Champagne Gold with Tan interior, only 81.1K miles in excellent condition. It comes with the original hard top and a Black soft top which is about 5 years old and in very good condition, no rips or tears. The rear windows are clear, no yellowing or cracks. Drives and handles very well, a smooth and comfortable ride. Body is solid with perfect lines and gaps in all locations. Only driven in nice weather, never driven in the rain or snow. Always garage kept. Overall, the paint is in excellent condition with a tremendous shine as seen in the pictures. Some very minor nicks in limited spots, there is one area with chipping on pass side hood as seen in the pictures. Chrome shows well all over. No major cracking in the dash board, there is one very small crack as seen in the pictures.
The interior is in very good condition. The leather seats, doors, dash and hard top head liner show little wear, no tears. Wood paneling in the console is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The trunk is clean, original spare tire is present. The original Becker radio is installed and does work, however the LED display is not functioning.
Investments and improvements include: Brand new tires July 2021. New batter 2021, Bilstein shocks front and rear 2020.
The mileage when purchased in December 2016 was 76.5K, now showing 81.1K. Title is clean. It holds a steady idle at about 500 RPM. The car accelerates smoothly and quickly without hesitation, shifting automatically with ease through every gear. No drips in the garage.
A great opportunity to own a very well cared for and desirable 380SL which has the twin timing chain. It’s a beautiful car and will never go out of style. My wife and I enjoyed many drives in the country and around town with the top down, as well as a vacation drive to Michigan from Ohio. Its amazing how much more you see in a convertible!
