For Sale: 1949 Packard Super Eight in Stanley, Wisconsin
Splish Splash, I was takin' a bath....Those of a certain age will
get the reference here, some will not. We are pleased to offer yet
another beautiful convertible from the same collection as the '41
Ford Super Deluxe that we recently listed. This car was restored
about 15-20 years ago in MO and used exclusively as a
parade/touring car, as there is no convertible top nor any windows.
This is a fair weather only car, for sure. Highlights include a
smooth running 327cid straight eight and a 12 volt conversion
featuring new wiring, an electric fuel pump, and an auxiliary fan
to keep the engine cool during those hot summer parades. This rare
"upside down bathtub" (see first line of description) features a
gorgeous paint job, body work, and like new chrome. Despite being
stored in a heated indoor showroom, the tires are quite old and
cracking and will need to be replaced. The current "port-a-walls"
are a nice touch but hopefully the new owner will spring for real
white walls! Runs and drives real well, all gauges, lights, and
horn in good working order. Recent services include spark plugs,
points, battery, oil/filter, and rebuilt carb. Like new leather
interior! Overall a stunning conversation piece - when was the last
time you saw one of these? Be the center of attention at your next
cruise night! Reasonable offers encouraged, financing/shipping
available, we sell worldwide!
