The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is
this outstanding 1939 Packard 1703 2 Door Convertible Coupe with
cream exterior paint and a red leather interior. You'll find a 130
Horse Power 320 cid straight-eight engine under the hood with a 9
Main bearing crankshaft and a 3-speed manual column-shift
transmission with overdrive. This incredible classic is still on
the original 6-volt system updated to two in-series gel batteries
and it is in tremendous physical condition throughout.
An Incredible Stock Survivor w/ Excellent Curb Appeal
The current owner of 1939 Packard 1703 Convertible Coupe has
enjoyed it for the past year and he informs us that this Packard
body is on a 127" wheelbase chassis. With a laser-straight body,
fantastic chrome, trim, paint and accessories, this is perhaps the
most pristine example that we've ever seen in person with a
completely stock appearance and endless curb appeal. It must be
seen in person to truly appreciate.
Additionally, this 1939 Packard 1703 Convertible Coupe has a very
clean engine compartment that's stock in appearance and does not
appear to have been restored. We do not know whether or not this is
the factory drivetrain, but we can tell you that everything appears
correct and this classic offers smooth, reliable performance on the
open road. Likewise, the convertible top fits tightly and shows
minimal wear. The gorgeous red leather interior also stands out
virtually blemish free and the incredible hardwood dashboard with
endless chrome inserts also looks exceptional.
