Vehicle Description
1964 Mouse Grey and Pearl White Deluxe Walkthru Microbus, Fresh and
Super Clean! This exceptionally clean and well-done 1964 Deluxe Bus
started life as a 13 Window Deluxe with a bench front seat and has
been professionally converted to a 21 Window Deluxe Sunroof
Microbus with Walkthru seating. This full rotisserie/nut-and-bolt
restoration was carried out and assembled by the guys at Slow Ride
Garage, is thorough, quality, and has produced a Bus that is far
prettier and more detailed than most you will come across. Just
take a look at the reflection of the body panels, this is far
superior to the typical wobbly-bodied amateur home job! Some of the
many details to note include * Walkthru Seating Option * 6 Popout
Window Option * Safari Windows * All 3 Rows of Early Seats * All
New Basalt Interior masterfully done by Octavios in Orange County,
California * Al Fresh Mechanicals including Engine from Vic at The
Lab * New Bias Ply Tires * And much more! The body and paint finish
are very nice and it all started with a very dry California Bus.
The floors, doglegs, and doors are all original as well. Details to
note include the brand new polished aluminum body trim, new correct
slash cut bumpers with original Deluxe moulding, correct church key
decklid and apron, and the owner opted for mounting a set of 15
inch slotted Bus wheels as they look cooler than the stock 14s. The
straightness and reflection of this Bus is pretty incredible and
hard to beat. The Basalt Grey interior is super nice, was
professionally done by Octavios, and features the proper heat
pleated seams on the seats that were used during that era. The
headliner is very nice and was done in high quality German mohair,
a mild custom touch, but tasteful, and more attractive than the
pinpoint vinyl they originally came with in 1964. Additionally the
speedometer and clock were professionally restored and look as nice
as the rest of the Bus. Other details to note include the early
polished aluminum coat hooks, polished jail bars, and rear seat
luggage bar just to name a few cool features. Mechanically the Bus
is a turnkey driver, fresh, and just made a huge and successful
family trip down the West Coast from Washington to Southern
California. The engine, transaxle, front axle, brakes, tires, and
electrical are all fresh. The front axle was rebuilt with quality
parts including rebuilt spindles as well.
