For Sale: 1969 Plymouth Road Runner in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Documented and inspected by Mopar expert David Wise, full report and build sheet is included. It was verified the tags are original and has original #s matching motor, trans and correct rear. Original 54,628 mile car with most of it's original, born with components. It was stored in a shipping container in Florida for many years. Professionally restored in South Carolina, it was taken completely apart and put on a rotisserie.

The A12 was a mid year, limited production performance package. It included 440 6-pack engine, 4.10 Dana rear, HD cooling, HD drum brakes, Hemi suspension, blacked out Lift off hood, bare 15 inch rims with G70 redline tires.

EXTERIOR: Very rare factory color, 1 of 4 A12 post cars made. All original body panels. The body is pristine and this car it's absolutely laser beam straight from the rockers to the roof. The body gaps all lineup precisely, doors shut like a new car. The lift off ram air hood is pristine. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is literally polished like glass. The bumpers, door handles, correct antenna and remote mirror have been rechromed. The stainless trim has been straightened and polished. Good original grill, headlight bezels and tail lights are excellent. Windshield is new. Door jambs are painted slick, all the weatherstrips and seals were replaced. Correct 15" steel rims were repainted, new chrome lug nuts and reproduction G70 redline tires.

INTERIOR: Excellent original interior except front seat cover and carpet. Headliner, visors and mirror all look nice. The backseat is excellent, the front seat is new. No cracks in the steering wheel, the dash area is very nice. Original gauges are little faded and there is some pitting on the 8 track radio. It has all of it's seat belts.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has it's original born with, vin # matching motor. It has never been apart, runs strong and has excellent compression. The original carbs were rebuilt. These were more then a 440 with a 6-pack slapped on. These motors came with chromed valve stems, Magnafluxed rods and HD valve springs. NHRA rated the motors at 410 hp, they were only built for 3 months. The engine bay was repainted body color. It has original fender tag and vin #s on cowl and core support match the car. Reproduction hoses, clamps and plug wires. Every component is stock, most are original to this car. The Roadrunner horn works, the battery is bolted down properly.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: New trunk floor was installed just like the factory would have done. It's all painted body color. It has new reproduction mat, weatherstrip and decals. They even duplicated the G70 Redline Tire markings. Verified original jack and spare in Dave Wise's report.

UNDERSIDE: Put on a rotisserie so the bottom could be restored like new. All the suspension, steering, bushings, fuel system and brakes were rebuilt. They came with 11 inch HD drum brakes, discs were not available. Correct reproduction exhaust system. Looking up at the motor it is clean, correct casting #s and vin are clearly present. Original 727 Torqueflite automatic trans, also verified as #s matching. The automatic was an extra cost option. The Dana 60 rear with 4.10 sure grip gears is verified as original to this car. The floors and frame rails are clean original metal. They were prepped and painted body color.

This is a highly desirable car. It checks all the boxes for investment potential: Rare, desirable, high quality and certified. Not to mention it will be fun as he'll to drive!
