You love it when someone invests the right money to build a muscle
car just like you would, and this incredible 1966 Chevrolet Chevy
II Nova SS Pro Street is a prime example. It's obvious this was a
passion project by the way it all comes together with a
performance-built small block, upgraded suspension w/tubbed rear,
and a cool modern paint theme.
The build was completed by the consignor around 1998. So the way
this looks sharp today tells you there was a big investment in the
paintwork (because quality always lasts,) and this coupe has been
under long-term care. Having the vivid red is important here,
because the areas that are traditionally reserved for brightwork,
like the bumpers, light surrounds, rear panel and the grille have
been color-matched for a sleek style that gives this Nova some
extra modern flair. The front splitter is especially modern with
its carbon fiber texture. But even with these custom details, the
car doesn't lose the classic Nova identity. It's in the crisp body
lines, premium pillarless hardtop profile, and full-length trim
that looks like an almost unbroken line on this quality coupe. And
the wheels tie this full package of vintage and upgraded together
perfectly. They have the classic Torq Thrust style, but with a
modern size for better tires and stance - especially with the extra
wide rear ones.
The interior is a tasteful and well-presented tan tweed. As you
look it all over, you'll see a touch of premium thoughtfulness to a
street machine kind of car. It's in details, like the custom door
panels, the Chevy bow tir across the back bench, and the tinted
windows. But the moment you sit in the driver's seat, you know this
one is all about performance. You get a grippy Lecarra sports
steering wheel, and beyond that are a full set of AutoMeter ProComp
gauges. And that stylish single-piece aluminum custom dash is a
reminder that your focus should always be on the road ahead.
You're going to love putting this engine bay on display. The smooth
painted inner walls, gutsy black components, and the color matched
motor contribute to a clean and tidy setup. And when you look
beyond the stylishness, you'll see plenty of substance. This is a
350 cubic-inch small block that has been well-built with everything
from a timing gear setup to a hefty cam with a powerful lope. It
inhales deeply with an Edelbrock intake and four-barrel carburetor.
And headers let it exhale with added power and authority into the
big dual exhaust pipes and Flowmasters. It's supported by the right
pieces, like a strut tower brace, Mallory unilite distributor, and
an aluminum radiator w/electric fans. As you look underneath,
you'll see all the right pieces, like upgraded tubular A-arms,
ladder bars with adjustable coilovers, and a narrowed Ford 9-inch
rear end. The three-speed automatic transmission is a stout TH400
unit, and the font disc brakes are drilled & slotted Wilwood
units.
Complete with build photos and plenty of build receipts, you can
see this is a cool custom and all-around stunner. So don't admire
it too long, or it might be gone. Call today!!!
