This 1987 GMC High Sierra 1500 (K-10) Pickup underwent a frame-on restoration around 4 years ago by a collector who wanted to use it for a tool around town truck in the summers. They did a really nice job on what I would call a selective restoration to a truck that was a barn find of sorts for him in really nice condition. He owned a body shop, retired, and did most of the work himself and he had a fairly large collection of vehicles. He bought the truck with the miles seen being original. The body on this truck is very very nice and straight. When he painted it he stripped it down to metal and did a professional job...this is no backyard paint job. The truck originally was all white, but he wanted a 2 Tone truck so he added the red. It has a great 2 Tone look! All of the chrome and stainless is in excellent condition and he replaced all of the wetherstripping and rubbers when the truck was painted. The interior is very stock looking and clean. He replaced the carpet and the seat cover and the rest looks original and is in great shape. All of the lights, blinkers, brake lights, turn signals, heat, wipers, horn, and radio are working. It is a very nice original interior.

Mechanically this truck runs and drives excellent. It appear to be all stock and original besides normal maintenance. The original 305 V8 TBI engine runs strong, starts easy, and has no issues we could find. The transmission is the 700R4 Automatic that shifts nice and it is mated to the np241 Transfer Case. The 4WD works as it should. It has Corporate 10 Bolt Axles Front and Rear with 3.42 Gears. This is all sitting on a nice set of restored Rally Rims and newer 31 Inch Tires. This is a great truck for an everyday driver or a weekend cruiser to take to shows.
