1972 Chevrolet El Camino Custom, Beautiful Frame-Off Restoration completed in 2013, Originally a factory 402 big block LS3/TH400 Custom model (documented by 1st 5 digits of VIN ''1D80U'')-- ''D'' indicates Custom model and ''U'' is 402ci/240hp LS3, Now has a built 383 Stroker (approx 425hp) with a hot cam, aluminum intake, Holley 650cfm carb, ceramic-coated headers, and billet dress-up kit, Turbo 350 Automatic with shift kit, 4:11 Posi Rear Axle, Factory AC car (not currently operable) with optional SS-style dash with full gauges, Previous owner made several tasteful modifications during the restoration-- Painted a gorgeous 2004 GM high metallic dark gray, Added black vinyl roof, Added steel cowl hood, Installed 1971 grill/marker lights, Fabricated custom-painted fiberglass bed cover with custom radio antenna mount, Custom painted firewall and heater box, Relocated shifter from column to the floor, Installed new steering column, Installed Custom Autosound stereo-- 90% original sheet metal, Body was stripped to bare metal, painted base coat/clear coat, and wet-sanded to a mirror finish, All body panels are laser straight, Panel gaps are near perfect, Detailed engine compartment and undercarriage, Restored interior with beautiful original GM bench seat/upholstery and door panels sourced from another car, American Racing Mags with BFG Tires, Flowmaster Exhaust, Original GM parts used extensively throughout restoration, Rechromed GM bumpers, Original Glass except for windshield, Hotchkis Suspension with Polyurethane bushings, Drilled Front Rotors, Photo album documenting restoration and all receipts, Only driven 3,500 miles since completed, Previous owner of 20 years was a GM Certified Master Technician-- this truck is well-sorted and drives fantastic, Walk-around/cold start video can be seen at www.mspmotorcars.com, This is a well thought-out and wonderfully executed restoration-- the attention to detail and quality of the restoration is truly impressive...
