This 1959 Fiat 600 Jolly is the perfect car to cruise the beach or around the lake. There is no mistaking a Fiat Jolly which Road & Track once called a "surrey with the fringe on the top." In their time, the Jollys were driven by their wealthy, rich, and sometimes famous owners, including President Lyndon B. Johnson, John Wayne, and Mae West. These Fiat beach buggies are becoming more and more rare, and in turn, more and more collectible. This particular example comes to us from California, as evidenced by its black California legacy license plates. Housed in the rear-mounted engine compartment is a 633 cc (38.6 Cubic Inch) Inline 4 Cylinder motor paired with a single barrel Weber carburetor that is believed to push out 22 horsepower. A 4 speed manual transmission with floor mounted shifter gives this Italian import a classic car feel. The Ghia designed and manufactured body is finished in white paint with red accents, which gives this Jolly a very cute beach-inspired look. This '59 Fiat Jolly sits on 4 new Coker Classic Wide Whitewall bias-ply tires, and a spare is located in the front-mounted trunk. The red and white striped with fringe cloth top is in excellent shape and gives this Jolly a charming look. The wicker interior is one of the most identifiable features on any Fiat Jolly. On this particular example, the front wicker bucket seats, along with the rear wicker bench seat, are in fantastic shape. The dash and steering wheel are also in nice shape as well and they appear to be in a stock configuration on this door-less wonder.
