The 1957 model year brought a host of changes including revised
chassis, styling, and trim lines. The new models were the best
selling cars in America that year and eclipsed long time rival,
Chevrolet. There were a variety of trim levels available with the
top of the line being the Fairlane 500. 11 body styles and 6
different engines meant that there was a Failure to suit every
taste.
The 1957 Fairlane offered here is powered by what appears to be a
292 V8 paired with an automatic transmission. Highlights include
dash clock, dog dish hubcaps, wide white wall tires and new
interior. The red and white interior is in excellent condition and
has been redone at some point. The exterior shows some age but is
straight and solid and still very presentable. The Fairlane is a
great driver and is ready for its next owner.
