1948 Dodge Custom 'D24' Sedan. This car was born light blue
originally, but has been repainted to black. At about the same time
as the repaint, the interior was upgraded to cloth and vinyl with
carpet and a new headliner for a more modern look that is very
complimentary to the black. There are some stone chips across the
front end that have been touched up. It was painted properly for
all the jambs etc. so no worries there. All trim is present. The
car is straight, rust-free except for the thin front floorboards
(see photos), and no collisions evident. All glass is good. The
tires seem to have just over 50% of the rubber left. This is a 3
speed (manual) fluid-drive transmission (on the column). Ignition
was upgraded to Pertronic-brand ignition and starts easily. It has
electric wipers instead of the vacuum-style wipers. There is a
modern fog light switch on the left side of the dash that controls
the front (yellow) driving lights. The car has power steering and
the column was overhauled with new shims by the owner. This is a
great driving car. It did make a trip from Detroit to Louisiana
with no issues. Car is being sold by the owner who is downsizing
his affairs which is the only reason for the sale. This is not a
Resto-Mod by any sense, but it is a car that is mechanically
reliable and has a great look for anyone wanting to enjoy these in
the hobby. Take a look at these photos and give us a call! You'll
be glad you did. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at
